Taking inspiration from the Mannerist style fountain of Venus in Avery Court, this program explores themes of myth and fantasy. The sculpture’s dynamic, mischievous composition is echoed in musical works by Tartini, Liszt, Szymanowski, and Schumann. This concert series is presented by the Hartford Symphony Orchestra and features Concertmaster Leonid Sigal. Tickets are required and may be purchased by calling (860) 244-2999.

Sunday Serenades are sponsored in part by The Saunders Foundation Music Endowment at the Wadsworth Atheneum.
