Sunday Serenades: Mozart & MATRIX: Join us in the galleries for a chamber music concert inspired by the complex international saga of exploration, colonization, and world domination, depicted in Frohawk Two Feathers / MATRIX 170.

The program features Henry Purcell’s Golden Sonata, François Couperin’s Les Nations: L’Impériale, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Piano Quintet, K. 452. Presented with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, featuring Concertmaster Leonid Sigal.

Sneak Peek, Talk & Film: Artemisia: To celebrate our recent acquisition of the Italian Baroque masterwork Self-Portrait as a Lute Player by Artemisia Gentileschi, join Oliver Tostmann, Susan Morse Hilles Curator of European Art, for a talk about the artist and her painting at 2pm, followed by a screening of the 1997 film Artemisia.

Self-Portrait as a Lute Player will not be on public view until Fall 2015 – don’t miss this special opportunity!
