In observance of the Hartford Marathon on Saturday, Oct. 11, Second Saturdays programming will take place in the afternoon from 1 – 4pm. Museum admission is free ALL DAY, 10am – 5pm.
Second Saturdays: Adventures & Expeditions: Look at Walton Ford’s painting that recalls an expedition to the North Pole in the Connections Gallery and find other works of art that take you to new territory! Imagine a destination and make an illustrated map to get you there and a journal to document your journey.

Sunday Serenades: Mozart & MATRIX: Join us in the galleries for a chamber music concert inspired by the complex international saga of exploration, colonization, and world domination, depicted in Frohawk Two Feathers / MATRIX 170, and features Henry Purcell’s Golden Sonata, François Couperin’s Les Nations: L’Impériale, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Piano Quintet, K. 452. Presented in collaboration with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, featuring Concertmaster Leonid Sigal.
