Second Saturdays: Shades of Green: How many shades of green can there be? We’ll celebrate the color green as we anticipate the spring and Saint Patrick’s Day. Wear something green, listen to traditional Irish music by Celticado, and get ready for the parade next weekend!

Explore art with your family, encourage creativity, and expand your imagination through conversation and discovery. Each program includes hands-on art projects, tours for families, live music, and engaging fun through film, theater and dance. Join us every month year-round!

Film: Everyone’s Going To Die: This film tells the story of Melanie, whose life in a seaside town is going nowhere until she meets Ray. A moment’s escape becomes a chance to save themselves, and each other. Everyone’s Going to Die is a modern British story about coming home, getting by, and the redemptive power of feeling you’re not alone. This film is presented as part of the 2nd Annual Manhattan Short Feature Film Project. After the screening audiences are asked to vote on behalf of their communities whether the film should come back to their local cinema for additional screenings at a later date this year.

Join us for part two of this professional development series aimed at training homeschooling parents to utilize the visual arts as a creative mechanism for addressing core academic subjects, state and national standards, and 21st century skills with their middle school-aged children.
