Calling all food enthusiasts! Experience culinary excellence on our trip to the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), widely recognized as the world’s premier culinary college. A student guided tour of the beautiful campus is followed by lunch at the award-winning student and staff operated American Bounty Restaurant. Featuring regional specialties prepared with ingredients selected from the riches of the Hudson River Valley and beyond.
Our three course lunch will include: Pumpkin Apple Soup topped with Crisp Bacon Lardons and Sour Crème; Sautéed Chicken Breast accompanied by Roasted Garlic Potato Gratin, Sautéed Spinach, and Lemon Butter Sauce; and a Warm Molten Chocolate Cake, served with Banana Passion Fruit Sorbet, Dulce de Leche and coffee or tea. Please indicate dietary restrictions on the reservation form by October 25, 2019. The CIA will charge an additional $10.00 to the individual for any day-of dietary requests.
After lunch, we continue to The Francis Lehman Loeb Art Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Founded in 1864 as the Vassar College Art Gallery, its collections chart the history of art from antiquity to the present and feature over 18,000 works, including European and American twentieth century paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, photographs, textiles, glass, ceramics, and the Warburg Collection of Old Master prints—an important group of the Hudson River School paintings.
