Union Church of Pocantico Hills
Lyndhurst Mansion, The Jay Gould Estate
Enjoy the scenic Hudson River Valley with our first stop at the Union Church of Pocantico Hills (The Rockefeller Church), where we will view nine of Mark Chagall’s stained glass windows as well as the last work of Henri Matisse, The Rose Window. Following a docent-led tour, we will enjoy a three-course lunch at the Sunset Cove Restaurant.
Next we will visit Lyndhurst Mansion—the estate of railroad tycoon Jay Gould—featuring a magnificent 19th-century gothic revival country house boasting many original furnishings, set in a 67-acre park. We will tour the special exhibit Becoming Tiffany, which includes major loans from private collections and museum, tracing the artist’s career from his origins as a painter through his role as a tastemaker of the Gilded Age. You may explore the park on your own, as well as the gift shop.
