Irish-American Sean Scully’s work in Sean Scully: Landline—on view from February 23 – May 19, 2019—is influenced by his experience as an immigrant. Brooklyn is the first of three films dealing with the challenges and dangers facing immigrants and refugees.

An Irish immigrant lands in 1950s Brooklyn, where she quickly falls into a romance with a local. When her past catches up with her, she must choose between two countries.
