This biopic explores the short life of Viennese artist Egon Schiele, who was one of the most provocative artists working in Vienna at the beginning of the 20th Century. His life and work were controversial and driven by women. In the film, we meet two women who had a lasting impact on the artist: his sister and first muse, Gerti, and Wally—considered by many to be his one true love—who is immortalized in his painting Death and the Maiden. Also portrayed is Schiele’s relationship with Gustav Klimt.

2016. Austria. 110 min. Not Rated (adult themes and nudity). Subtitles. Directed by Dieter Berner. Starring Noah Saavedra, and Maresi Riegner.
