For First Night Hartford 2021, the message is Stay Home, Stay Safe, and Tune In. The region’s annual New Year’s celebration will return with an innovative, virtual, ten hour broadcast experience on Thursday, December 31, 2020 from 2pm–midnight. The broadcast will include original performances filmed at the Wadsworth, programming created during 2020 from Hartford artists and arts institutions, and reflections on the past year. First Night is not complete without activities for children and families, and virtual workshops with local teaching artists will take place on Zoom.
