OMG! October’s First Thursday After Hours marks the opening of Mark Dion/MATRIX 173 The Wadsworth Atheneum’s Great Chain of Being – meet in the MATRIX gallery for a talk by Mark at 6 pm. Music for the evening will be the soulful sounds of Orice Jenkins and Friends, Hartford Fashion Week designers will showcase their work, Trashion Fashion will lead an art activity, and all are welcome out on the museum’s front steps at 7 pm for talk about OMG, the Wadsworth Atheneum’s new commission by American artist Jack Pierson. As always there will be a cash bar and complimentary snacks.
