Peter Blume, a leading modern American painter, lived in Sherman, Connecticut amidst an international artistic community. Hear curator Erin Monroe speak in the Peter Blume: Nature and Metamorphosis and Visions from Home: Surrealism in Connecticut exhibitions about how the environment in CT impacted Blume’s work and that of his friends and neighbors, including Alexander Calder and Arshile Gorky.
