Japan Tea Ceremony Chado: The Way of Tea

Calligraphy, painting, poetry, flower arranging, gardens, and tea ceremony all share a common aesthetic thread that is linked to the flourishing of the arts in early modern Japanese Zen monasteries.  In this special event, landscape architect Stephen Morrell will explore the history of the tea ceremony and its role in the development of the Japanese aesthetic.
