Monsters & Myths Film Series: Joyeux Noel

The six films in this series highlight some of the themes found in the exhibition Monsters & Myths: Surrealism and War in the 1930s and 1940s, which is on view from October 20, 2018–January 13, 2019.
Tours of the exhibition will precede indicated screenings at 1:15 pm.
These tours are included with film admission.

Based on a true story, the film is set in December of 1914, when an unofficial Christmas truce on the Western Front allows soldiers from opposing sides of the First World War to gain insight into each other’s way of life. Uplifting.
2005. France. 116 min. Rated PG-13. Directed by Christian Carion.
