The six films in this series highlight some of the themes found in the exhibition Monsters & Myths: Surrealism and War in the 1930s and 1940s, which is on view from October 20, 2018–January 13, 2019.

Based on a true story, the film is set in December of 1914, when an unofficial Christmas truce on the Western Front allows soldiers from opposing sides of the First World War to gain insight into each other’s way of life. Uplifting.
