A playboy songwriter’s succession of romances annoys his female neighbor, who shares a telephone party line with him and overhears all his flirting (but has never seen him). After laying eyes on her, the playboy sets about to seduce his neighbor under the guise of a sincere and upstanding Texas rancher. When mutual friend Jonathan discovers that his best friend is moving in on the woman he desires, sparks fly.
