Public Lecture: Clearly Indigenous with Dr. Letitia Chambers

Letitia Chambers, PhD, (Cherokee) is a scholar and collector of Native American art and the curator behind Clearly Indigenous: Native Visions Reimagined in Glass, the most comprehensive exhibition and catalogue to date examining the contributions of indigenous artists in the contemporary studio glass movement. Dr. Chambers discusses how studio glass came to indigenous communities and shares work created by American Indian and First Nations artists. Stop by the galleries before the lecture to view works by Dan Friday (Lummi) and Raven Skyriver (Tlingit) featured in Fired Up: Glass Today. Free with required reservation.

5pm gallery viewing, 6pm lecture
