Second Saturdays for Families: Winter Forest

Celebrate winter at 45th annual Festival of Trees & Traditions. Explore the trees on display, then create your own wintery artworks to take home or give as a gift to a friend.

Museum admission is free during Second Saturdays activities.

Art Making

DIY Wrapping Paper: Layer repeat patterns and shapes to create a one of a kind gift wrap.

Quilting Traditions: Explore the exhibition Bed Furnishings in Early America, then create a personal symbol that represents you and your family traditions.

Winter Nightscape: Become inspired by the landscapes in the museum’s collection and sketch your own winter nightscape to take home.

Woodland Wreaths: Find animals in the artwork throughout the museum, then use Model Magic to craft woodland creatures for your personal wreath.

Care Packages: Create a bag of hope for children in the community and then fill it with personal care items. Care packages will be donated to a local charity.
