The modernist paintings of Paul Klee are musically depicted in eight programmed compositions by Grammy award–winning composer Jim McNeely. Projections of
Klee’s paintings set the backdrop and will be introduced by a local art historian. A Klee painting from the Wadsworth’s collection will be on view in the theater lobby. Free.
This performance is co-presented by the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art and the UConn Ensemble in Residence Program, established by UConn’s School of Fine Arts and Department of Music with an Academic Planning Grant from the Office of the Provost.
