Baroque & Impressionist Highlights from the Collection

November 2, 2023–January 28, 2024

See some familiar works of art in a new location as we refurbish our early baroque and late nineteenth-century galleries in the Morgan Memorial Building. Masterpieces by Bernardo Strozzi, Artemisia Gentileschi, and Jusepe de Ribera share space with stunning impressionist paintings by Claude Monet, Pierre Auguste Renoir, and Camille Pissarro.

These baroque and impressionist works of art are some of our most requested for loan. After nearly a decade of paintings coming and going to travel the world, the walls in their usual galleries need some care. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see some of our most iconic paintings in a new light.
