Surrealism and Modernism
Highlights from the Collection
Highlights from the museum’s modernism and surrealism collections are displayed in a fresh
configuration in the suite of galleries adjacent to Avery Court, allowing for new juxtapositions and insights. The installation presents European and American artworks in dialogue, including new acquisitions such as Georg Tappert’s Geisha Revue, as well as works recently returned from loan
including Van Gogh’s Vase with Poppies, and all five Picasso paintings in the collection.
