Fridays, March 10 & 24 | $70; $55 seniors, and students with ID; $45 members and Wadsworth Welcome.

Explore visual expression through drawing with Connecticut artist Peter Cusack. Two sessions in different galleries offer a progression of drawing techniques. Open to adults of all levels of artistic ability. Drawing paper and museum admission included. Participants may purchase a drawing kit from the museum or bring their own materials. Space is limited and registration is required.

Required supplies: 1 – pencil bag; 1 – pencil sharpener that collects pencil shavings; 1 – large, kneaded eraser; 2 – 6B, 2B, and HB pencils

Drawing in the Galleries is presented with support from the Joseph and Robert Cornell Memorial Foundation Fund at the Wadsworth.

Second Saturdays for Families | Women's History Month

Visit the museum to learn about the trailblazing women artists represented in our collections. Discover their stories and design your own artwork recognizing their impact. Admission is free noon–2pm. 

Please note: Due to The Hartford St. Patrick’s Day Parade, parking bans and road closures will be in effect throughout the day on Saturday, March 11. 

Art-Making
Make your Mark: create alongside teaching artist Natasha Miles and design your own symbol representing self-love and self-expression.

Kusama Viewfinders: design a pair of glasses that will let you see the galleries in a whole new way. 

Performance
Enjoy a special dance presentation by the New England Ballet Theatre (12:15pm)

Music
Listen to violinist Yasmine Fu perform in Avery Court.

Family Tour | Eyes on Art

Eyes on Art Family Tours take place every second and fourth Saturday and are reserved for families and adults with children. Little ones, strollers, and intergenerational bonding expected! Availability is limited to 15 participants and advance registration is recommended. This tour is recommended for ages 12 and under. Masks are recommended for tours and gallery talks. Museum admission and tours are free for all who enter before 2pm on Second Saturdays for Families. You are welcome to visit the galleries before or after your tour, without purchasing additional tickets.
