Drop-in for an informal performance as Hartford-area violist Aekyung Kim plays music by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685–1750). While you listen, explore the Contemporary Photography Highlights on view in Avery Court, including Rosemary Laing’s groundspeed (Rose Petal) #17 (2001).

Get your big suit out of the closet and come to the theater for a screening of Stop Making Sense at 7pm. This timeless concert film, rereleased in 2023, features the iconic rock band Talking Heads in their prime, over three performances at the Pantages Theater in Los Angeles during their Speaking in Tongues album tour.

Film directed by Jonathan Demme. US. 1984. 1 hour 28 minutes. Rated PG.

Fine Art & Flowers | Designers Challenge & Meet the Designers

Three designers have 30 minutes to interpret the same piece of art and create a floral arrangement exhibiting their unique sense of style. Then engage with the designers who created the floral arrangements on view to discover their inspiration or learn about local garden clubs. Free with museum admission.
