Wine and Watercolor Workshop

Lindsey Fyfe leads two sessions of watercolor workshops in the Art Studio during Art After Dark. The first session will run from 5:30 – 6:30pm and the second session from 6:45 – 7:45pm. The workshop includes all supplies and one glass of wine. Each session is limited to 20 participants. Purchase tickets today to register! $10; $5 members.

Smith is a painter whose work explores the inner lives of women through a rich visual language that references Disney animation, M.C. Escher, and graphic design. This biopic tells the story of the legendary rock band Queen and lead singer Freddie Mercury, leading up to their famous performance at Live Aid (1985). Winner of Winner Best Motion Picture in Drama and Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture in Drama at the 2019 Golden Globes.

Art After Dark | Artistic License

Celebrate the exhibition Sean Scully: Landline. The night includes a poetry reading with Julie Choffel, Adjunct Professor at UConn Storrs, a poetry slam performed by Trinity’s Iron Poets, Ellen Arnstein’s on-demand typewriter poetry, and activities inspired by Sean Scully’s work including a group photo opportunity, running poem, Art Quest, art making, and museum tour plus music by DJ Fire, free food, and cash bar.

Come creatively dressed as your favorite color for a chance to win a prize. Body Art by Joy will be in the galleries to top off your look.

Let’s Tango. Listen to music by June Bisantz and Alex Nakhimovsky from their newly released CD, Love’s Tango. Watch a tango demonstration then try the sensual dance yourself. Indulge in an Argentinean Malbec wine tasting. At 6:30pm MATRIX artist Tom Burr leads a gallery talk. The night also includes free food, cash bar, art activity, and museum tour.

An original production of The Carnival of the Animals debuts alongside new works by choreographers Nathan Crewe-Kluge, Calvin Bittner, and Rachael Gnatowski. December wouldn’t be the same without this unique and totally entertaining twist on the classical ballet. After the performance, don your ugly holiday sweater and have a cocktail in hand to join the cast and crew for a virtual reception. Choreographed and directed by Carolyn Paine. 1 oz Wild Moon Rose
1 oz Gold Rum
1 bar spoon Luxardo Cherry Juice and 1 Cherry
Shake over ice
Add 2.5 oz ginger ale
Mix thoroughly. Strain into a coupe glass with a cinnamon sugar rim.
