Film | Munch in Hell (Munch i helvete)
Preceded each day by a 1:15pm focus tour of Munch’s works Landscape at Hvitsten and Aasgaardstrand.

Despite the fact that his work The Scream has become one of the most iconic images of world art, the artist Edvard Munch still suffers from a lack of appreciation in his home country of Norway. Munch left extensive notes, letters, literary works, and even drafts for an autobiography, all of which give insight into his private thoughts and reactions to the public scandals and bureaucratic harassments he suffered. This documentary allows the painter to tell his own story and reveals another side of his life and character–he was witty, practical, and determined.

2018. Norway. 72 min. Not Rated. Subtitles. Directed by Stig Anderson.
$10; $9 seniors and students w/ID; $8 members, free for Film Stars.
