Sharpen your photography skills this winter with a hybrid online/socially distanced photography class offered in collaboration with Defining Studios. Start the New Year by grabbing your camera to get creative outside and study the evocative quality of light. Each course includes one outdoor photography session and one virtual Lightroom and Photoshop editing workshop. Classes subject to rescheduling due to inclement weather.
Finding Light: Novice Photography | Learn about camera functions, photography techniques, and the basics about lighting and telling a story through the lens in this class geared for photography beginners.

Offered in collaboration with Defining Studios, this course includes one outdoor photography session and one virtual Lightroom and Photoshop editing workshop. Classes subject to rescheduling due to inclement weather. Required equipment: a camera, a freshly charged camera battery, and a reflector.

Outdoor Pop-Up Concert | Hartford Symphony Orchestra

The Hartford Symphony Orchestra’s jazz quartet performs on Burr Mall, the plaza next to the museum that boasts Alexander Calder’s majestic Stegosaurus as its centerpiece. Fill your lunchtime with an uplifting musical interlude inspired by the works of art around the museum. Free and open to the public. No restroom facilities will be available at the museum and visitors are encouraged to plan ahead for their comfort. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to May 21 at noon.
