Curator Talk | Matt Paweski / MATRIX 191 with Jared Quinton

The lushly colored surfaces and crisp machinelike forms in Matt Paweski’s works often suggest functionality, yet they emerge from an intuitive, manual process of drawing, cutting, painting, reconfiguration, and experimentation. Curator Jared Quinton will discuss how Paweski’s background in fabrication informs the artist’s practice and can expand our idea of contemporary sculpture. Free with museum admission. Meet in front of the Museum Shop.
